🚨 SEC opens the door for spot crypto ETFs
The U.S. SEC has approved new listing rules that make it much faster to launch spot crypto ETFs.
Bloomberg analysts James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas say this could trigger a wave of new launches, with approval times shrinking from years to just months.
Exchanges may now list some crypto ETFs directly if they meet generic standards, no longer needing lengthy, double applications (S-1 & 19b-4) for “in-scope” assets.
💡 Why it matters:
• Easier access for investors and issuers
• More predictability in the market
• Potential for massive institutional money to flow into crypto
