This is not even an exhaustive list of what we achieved in 2022. A lot of new people and development teams joined TON, and a lot of new services and products were created.

Clearly, we have made a quantum leap forward this year, just as we did in 2021 when we resurrected the TON project.

Despite significant volatility in the crypto industry and in the wider world, we continue to consistently move forward and create a massive and truly global blockchain network.

Let's do something fantastic again next year!

TON Developers

— Programmer contests and hackathons started to be held on a periodic basis and a dozen contests were held this year.

— TON became a sponsor of the competitive programming platform Codeforces.

— Libraries were improved and new libraries were created: tonweb, ton.js, ton3.js, Kotlin, Rust, Go, Java, Python, Swift, C++.

— APIs were improved and new ones were created: Toncenter, Toncenter Index, TonApi, DTon GrapQL, Foxtails for NFT, GetBlock.

— IDE plugins and development tools created: IntelliJ IDEA, VS Code, toncli, MyLocalTON.

— New documentation, tutorials and articles were made. AMA sessions started.

— Full-featured explorers were created: tonscan.org, tonapi.io, dton.io and others.

— TEPs, a platform for discussion about new network standards, was launched.

TON Builders

— The grant and sponsorship programs were launched.

— The TON Jobs platform was set up.

— TON Society was launched.

— Ecosystem funds were created: the $250M TONcoin Fund (by Kucoin Ventures, Huobi Incubator, MEXC Pioneer, Orbs and others) and the $90M TAV Fund.

TON Core

There were four major quarterly TON kernel and FunC programming language updates. These included general improvements, optimizations, better protections against DDOS, new language features and more: 2022.5, 2022.8, 2022.10, 2022.12.

A lot of work has been done with CertiK and Trail of Bits to audit and verify the code of TON kernel and code of system smart contracts and services.

The Security Bug Bounty Program was launched which has so far produced excellent results.

Major Wallet Updates and New Wallets

Numerous updates have turned the Tonkeeper, MyTonWallet, Tonhub and Juston wallets into applications with great functionality and a great UX.

TON finally appeared in hardware wallets such as SafePal and multi-network wallets such as Coin98 Wallet.

Major Bot Updates and New Bots

@wallet was directly integrated into the attachment menu and is now the most convenient way to send, buy and exchange crypto in the world.

@mobile and VPN Connect were also launched and dozens of updates were made to @donate and @cryptobot.

Mining and Reserves

This year saw the end of an entire era of Toncoin mining.

Telegram started using TON Blockchain launching username and anonymous number auctions on the new platform, fragment.com.

Pavel Durov also announced plans to create an embedded, non-custodial wallet and a decentralized exchange.

TON Staking

The new TON Nominators technology was utilized at tonvalidators.org and for TON Whales staking.

As well as benefiting users, this increased the number of network validators by almost 50% (from 155 to 230) and the total validator stake to 150M TON, which strengthened the stability of the network.

Some services, such as Biswap, have begun to offer a Toncoin farming service.

It has served as the basis for the launch of DEXs, such as ston.fi and dedust.io, launchpads like tonstarter.com, the first ICO, IDO and even memecoins.
