Hundreds of activists have taken to the streets of Bangkok, Thailand, to protest the 2026 IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings, which will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from October 12 to 18. The demonstrations, organized by grassroots coalitions, target global financial frameworks and cite deep-seated local and systemic grievances, including economic inequality, "green colonialism," and the need for debt relief.
