🔨 Trump nullifies his own Russia sanctions bill in under a month

Trump has signed an executive order waiving key provisions of the Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act — which he only signed into law on September 18.

The waiver includes:

🔴 The 500% tariffs on Russian goods imported into the US

🔴 The 100% secondary tariffs on the top 5 purchasers of Russian oil and gas — directly aimed at China and India

The Graham Act didn’t even survive a month before Trump started tearing it down. The reason is simple: like most of US’s grand sanction schemes, it ended up hurting the US far more than it hurt Russia or Iran.
