“According to the occult law of agreement, no entity can have any effect on you or manipulate you if there is no entry point or access that “allows” the interference.

Most entry points are unconscious, and permission is also often given unconsciously, out of naivety, or simply through ignorance of these forces. But ignorance of occult laws is no defense.

Dion Fortune made a very similar point. She emphasized that occult interference requires a response from within the person: “Once this reaction is achieved, the battle is half over, for the gate of the city has been opened from within, and there is free ingress.”

She also pointed out that even when an outside force provides the temptation, there still has to be something within the person that responds to it: “The weak spot in the defence was after all in her own nature.”

That is why simply blaming entities or saying “the devil made me do it” is far too simplistic and one-sided.

Even the idea of merely “removing” an entity can become mere symptom management if the entry point itself is never addressed and can easily reinforce a victim consciousness that ultimately works in favor of those entities.

Whatever weakness of the lower nature, wound, desire, fear, or unconscious behavior allowed the interference in the first place still needs to be faced and taken responsibility for. Otherwise, the same entry point and can be used again.

Most occult influence does not even require a full entity attachment. Desires and thoughts can be injected through interference alone. But the key point is the inner weakness or entry point within a person that allows the interference to take hold.

The real question is not only, “What is influencing me?” but also, “What within me is responding to it?”
