She is not the only quackademic to make the argument that gender inequality is responsible for declining fertility, I mentioned a few in this post from 2024.
Problem: The correlation she identified disappears when you include countries that she omitted; "the amount of variation in fertility rates that is explained by the time-use differences approaches 2 percent" (source).
Female equality is the primary cause of fertility decline.
