Housing and Fertility:
A recent study used Brazilian housing credit lotteries to investigate the relationship between home ownership and fertility.
20-25 year olds randomly obtaining housing increased their probability of having children by 32% and more children by 33%.
The lifetime fertility boost for 20 year old winners was double that of 30 year old winners.
The effect was stronger for men than women (other studies have found that financial/economic incentives increase male but not female TFR, see: https://t.me/thuletide/8097, https://t.me/thuletide/7921, https://t.me/thuletide/8102)
The housing lottery had no effect on the fertility of winners over 40.
