Enforcing a social media ban will obviously require the entire adult population to have some form of digital identity, to submit biometric data, etc. (BBC). The UK government also plans to restrict VPN usage via same methods.

Australia's under 16 social media ban strategically omitted BlueSky and Tumblr, havens for marxist pedophiles and transgender groomers. Expect Britain to do the same.
