Applications for Ambassador for a Day 2026 are now open! ✨

We’re inviting young women aged 16–19 from across Kazakhstan to submit a 2-minute video essay in English for the chance to shadow the British Ambassador for a day.

A panel of Embassy staff will review all entries (received before March 3rd) and announce a winner on International Women’s Day.

The British Embassy in Astana was the first diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan to champion this initiative, and since 2023, three remarkable young women have already taken part. Now it’s your turn.
