Join the Center for Youth Political Research in Central & East Asia (CYPR-CEA)!

CYPR-CEA is a six-month international student research initiative exploring how digital media shapes political engagement among Generation Z. The project examines youth political attitudes in Central and East Asia, comparing Kazakhstan and South Korea as case studies of different political systems. Kazakhstan reflects youth engagement in a semi-authoritarian post-Soviet context, while South Korea represents digital political participation in a consolidated democracy.
Participants will collaborate on surveys, interviews, and comparative analysis, producing research papers, policy briefs, and visual data insights that explore how young people engage with politics across the region.
