🇺🇸🇮🇷 — The White House has asked the Pentagon to develop options for new U.S. strikes on Iran ahead of the November 3 midterm elections, although no final decision has been made.

Administration officials said President Trump wants to demonstrate progress in the war and help lower gas prices before the election. More extensive military action is also being considered for after the midterms.
