Delhi Police have arrested 24-year-old Nadeem Ahmad over an alleged AI-generated video that falsely depicted a Delhi Police officer sexually assaulting a woman during the Jantar Mantar protests.

Police said the video was fabricated using artificial intelligence and was circulated on social media as purported CCTV footage from the protest site. Investigators traced its circulation to an Instagram channel allegedly operated by Ahmad, who claimed to be an independent journalist.

According to police, the material was used to amplify allegations against the force. Investigators are examining the circumstances behind its creation and circulation, including whether others were involved.
