The much needed and requested AIM-120D AMRAAMs have been cleared for Pakistan!

It is one of the most advanced beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile in the world, featuring a range exceeding 160 km (100 miles), GPS-assisted inertial navigation for mid-course guidance, two-way data links for real-time target updates, enhanced electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM), and a high-explosive warhead with improved lethality.

This “fire-and-forget” beast will supercharge the Pakistan Air Force’s F-16 Block 52 fleet, giving PAF unmatched superiority in contested airspace, especially against regional threats.

This development also signals a potential strengthening of US-Pakistan defence cooperation, as Islamabad seeks to maintain balanced ties with major powers.
