در این نشست حلقه ایران میزبان دکتر منیژه مرادیان خواهیم بود و با او درباره مقاله اخیرشان "خیزش فمنیستی در ایران و سیاست همبستگی" گفتگو خواهیم کرد. این مقاله با توجه به جنبش «زن، زندگی، آزادی» که از سپتامبر ۲۰۲۲ در ایران آغاز شد، به دنبال تغییر جهت‌گیری عمل فمینیستی فراملی است. دکتر مرادیان با بهره‌گیری از تجربیات و تحلیل‌های فمینیست‌های ایرانی که در خط مقدم تلاش‌ها برای سازماندهی یک واکنش فمینیستی فراملی بوده اند، چارچوب‌هایی را برای تفکر فراتر از دوگانه‌های "غرب در مقابل شرق" و "سکولار در مقابل مذهبی" تدوین می‌کند. این دوگانه‌ها نه تنها بر مناقشه ایالات متحده و ایران حاکم بوده‌اند، بلکه سیاست همبستگی را نیز تحریف کرده‌اند. این مقاله «تردید» برخی از فمینیست‌های فراملی و مترقی در مواجهه با قیام ایران را به عنوان ترس از بازتولید گفتمان‌های اسلام‌هراسانه در مورد ستم بر زنان مسلمان در چارچوب «جنگ علیه تروریسم» به رهبری ایالات متحده، نظریه‌پردازی می‌کند. نویسنده پس از ترسیم زمینه‌های پرآشوب سیاست همبستگی در رابطه با ایران - در میان لیبرال‌های جریان اصلی، ایرانیان خارج از کشور، فعالان ضد امپریالیست و فمینیست‌های فراملی در دانشگاه‌های غربی - نشان می‌دهد که چگونه سیاست ستم و آزادی در ایران در تلاقی دیکتاتوری داخلی و سلطه خارجی شکل می‌گیرد. نویسنده با استفاده از چارچوبی که آن را "ضدامپریالیسمِ تقاطعی" می‌نامد، به جای اشکال آمریکامحورِ همبستگی با ایران، به دنبال جایگزین‌هایی برای آن است و پیامدهای گسترده‌ترِ ایجادِ جهان گرایی از پایین را برجسته می‌کند.

In this session of the Iran Circle, we will host Dr. Manijeh Moradian to discuss her recent article, "Feminist Uprising in Iran and the Politics of Solidarity." In light of the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement that began in Iran in September 2022, this article seeks to reorient transnational feminist praxis. Drawing on the experiences and analyses of Iranian feminists who have been at the forefront of efforts to organize a transnational feminist response, Dr. Moradian develops frameworks for thinking beyond the "West versus East" and "secular versus religious" binaries. These binaries have not only governed the U.S.-Iran conflict but have also distorted the politics of solidarity.
The article theorizes the "hesitancy" of certain transnational and progressive feminists toward the uprising in Iran as a fear of reproducing Islamophobic discourses concerning the oppression of Muslim women within the framework of the U.S.-led "war on terror." After mapping the fraught terrain of solidarity politics regarding Iran—among mainstream liberals, the Iranian diaspora, anti-imperialist activists, and transnational feminists in Western academia—the author demonstrates how the politics of oppression and liberation in Iran are shaped at the intersection of domestic dictatorship and foreign domination. Employing a framework she terms "intersectional anti-imperialism," the author seeks alternatives to U.S.-centric forms of solidarity with Iran and highlights the broader implications of building internationalism from below.
