The moon makes a different Analemma each month. This is the Aries Analemma over a 10 year period.

What this means is that the moon is changing speeds from sign to sign and month to month. Which is why the moon goes through the sign in 2-4 days when it is in your sun sign. Its not always 2.5 days.
