The truth of the Sun isn't fancy or weird. It's simple: it's small & local.
It moves in a circle.
It comes into your vision in the east, and out of your vision in the west.
After December 25th, the next day, when it moves in another circle, the circle is a little bit narrower.
And the circles continue to get narrower and narrower until June 21.
Then after June 24th the circle gets a little wider each day. Back to December 21.
When the sun is low in the sky, it reached the last, biggest circle. This is called winter solstice.
When its high in the sky its at the last, smallest circle. This is called summer solstice.
It keeps doing this.
Narrower and narrower circles moving higher, for 6 months. (182 days)
Then wider and wider circles moving lower, for 6 months. (182 days).
Thats all.
It's cool.
