This is a video I took on an airplane with the sun moving in closer to where I was. Also known as a “sun rise.”

Because of the elevation of the airplane, and weather conditions, there wasn’t much atmosphere to distort how the sun looks—small.

Atmosphere can make the sun look wider—just like a lens on a flash light makes the light of a bulb look wider.

The coloring would also be effected by atmosphere. Think of it like a thin piece of silks being layered and layered…

That’s how the atmosphere effects what you see.

If you pull back all that fabric, everything will look different and truer.
