Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, is set to have a booth at SOFEX 2026 in Aqaba, Jordan, from October 27 to 29. The company sells its weapons as “battle tested” through the killing of Palestinians and the genocide in Gaza. Elsewhere, the doors are closing.

France barred Israeli companies from the Eurosatory expo in 2024, and in June 2025 French authorities sealed off the stands of five Israeli firms at the Paris Air Show, Elbit among them, over “offensive weapons.” In June 2026, France again barred Israel’s national pavilion at Eurosatory and shut the booths of firms displaying offensive weapons.

The UK also barred Israeli government officials from the DSEI arms fair in London in 2025. As weapons expos and countries bar Israeli arms makers, Jordan is welcoming them to Aqaba.
