๐ฉธUN Women estimates that more than 38,000 women and girls have been killed in Gaza since October 2023, while another 11,700 have suffered injuries severe enough to cause lifelong disabilities.
The figures were reported by UN Women humanitarian-action chief Sofia Calltorp. The agency said 277 women and girls had been killed since the October 2025 ceasefire and that nearly one million remained displaced.
๐งUN Women also warned that funding cuts have weakened organisations providing support to women and girls. Thirteen of 14 surveyed organisations said they could no longer meet growing needs.
