Hundreds of pro-Palestine demonstrators gathered in Cape Town, South Africa, on Wednesday to commemorate Palestinian children killed during three years of
➡️The protesters marched silently from the Cape Town Holocaust and Genocide Centre to St George’s Cathedral, where Muslim, Christian and Jewish representatives joined an interfaith memorial service. Outside the cathedral, participants unfurled a 30-metre-long shroud bearing the names of approximately 20,000 Palestinian children killed in Gaza, including infants.
South African activist Glenn Harrison said volunteers from churches, Muslim communities and Jewish supporters of Palestine had spent two weeks carefully writing each child’s name by hand, transforming the shroud into a powerful symbol of remembrance and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
