🔊New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was booed and heckled during a vigil held in solidarity with ~~Israel~~i settlers killed on 7 October, as pro-Palestine demonstrators interrupted the event with chants of, "Traitor, traitor, come on out! You sold all your people out!"

☑️ Protesters urged Mamdani to oppose New York real estate events marketing homes in illegal ~~Israel~~i settlements across the occupied West Bank and criticized what they see as a shift from his earlier pro-Palestine stance after taking office.

Also present was former New York City Comptroller Brad Lander, who has faced criticism after the city's pension funds increased their holdings in ~~Israel~~i arms manufacturer Elbit Systems, whose weapons and military equipment are used by ~~Israel~~ in Gaza.

Mamdani did not speak at the event.
