Around 5,600 children are among approximately 22,000 patients in Gaza waiting for urgent medical evacuation abroad, according to Dr. Ahmed Al-Farra of Nasser Medical Complex.
🩺He said continued delays and border crossing closures are preventing critically ill and wounded patients from accessing life-saving treatment, with two to three patients dying each day while awaiting transfer.
🩸Al-Farra called on the UN and international organizations to press for the immediate reopening of crossings and the resumption of medical evacuations.
