tgBTC Contract Updated on Testnet

As part of ongoing improvements to prepare for mainnet, the TON Teleport team has deployed a new tgBTC smart contract on the TON testnet, developed in collaboration with the TON Core team.

This update marks tgBTC’s transition to a new Jetton format optimized for the sharding architecture, enabling faster transactions and better scalability for real-world use.

Over the past eight months, 6,900 tgBTC have been minted and over 11,255 transactions completed, transforming Bitcoin into a charged, usable asset inside Telegram through the TON Teleport bridge secured by TON validators.

On July 9, all testnet tgBTC tokens were automatically upgraded. Please avoid using old tokens, since expected performance can no longer be ensured.
