DePIN promises decentralization and true autonomy through infrastructure powered by the people. However, in the case of certain projects, contributors install dashcams or sensors and share data, but the authority over the data often remains singular.

Thus, decentralization can’t stop at hardware; it must extend to ownership, governance, and access. Otherwise, we’re just rebranding old systems with new names💥.
