🇫🇷 Several tens of thousands of people gathered this Thursday at the Place de la Bastille in Paris, as part of the student demonstrations. The French National Police responded with a water cannon and tear gas grenades against the protesters.

💧 The videos circulated show officers firing tear gas at groups of young people who were throwing objects and tree branches. The police reported "some tiles and firecrackers" against their personnel, without any injuries being recorded.

🗣 Despite the repressive deployment, several thousand students remained in the square after the use of the water cannon and chanted "Macron, resign," in protest against the actions of the security forces.
