🚨The Dominican Republic Closes Its Embassy in Nicaragua and Formalizes Its Interference Through the OAS

🏛️ Dominican Republic Foreign Minister Víctor "Ito" Bisonó announced at the headquarters of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington the closure of his country’s embassy in Nicaragua.

🔄The move formalizes the Dominican government’s repeated challenges to Nicaragua’s domestic policy—a stance that Managua characterizes as interference in its sovereign affairs. In September, the Nicaraguan government had already ordered the closure of its own diplomatic mission in Santo Domingo in response to those actions.

🇳🇮With the withdrawal of the Dominican mission, both countries are now left without reciprocal diplomatic representation and without direct channels of dialogue, amid coordinated pressure from the OAS.
