🇦🇷 Argentina: Dairy and Meat Drive Another Spike in Food Prices

🛒 Food and beverage prices rose 0.8% during the fifth week of September in Argentina. The indicator has now risen for four consecutive weeks, pushing the average for the past month up to 4.2%, according to the economic consulting firm Labour, Capital & Growth (LCG).

🥛🥩 More than half of the weekly increase was driven by essential products: dairy and eggs rose 2%, while meat prices went up 0.7%.

📉 The private report warns that the consumer basket shows a steadily decreasing number of goods with falling prices, reinforcing persistent and widespread pressure on household budgets.
