🚨 U.S. Democratic Senators Warn of the Trump Administration's Interference in Brazil's Elections

🇺🇸🇧🇷 Senators Jeanne Shaheen, Tim Kaine, and Peter Welch warned Donald Trump that, “instead of helping to defend Brazilian democracy, the U.S. is using diplomatic, economic, and political pressure” in ways that seek to “undermine confidence in the Brazilian electoral process.”

🗳️ In a letter addressed to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Democratic lawmakers also denounced the role of advisor Darren Beattie as the main architect of aggressive actions against Brazilian democracy.

“These actions reflect a widespread and deeply troubling pattern of interference by the Trump administration in recent electoral processes in Latin America,” the Democrats concluded.
