🚨 Georgia and Texas Declare States of Emergency Due to Record-High Gas Prices in the U.S.

⛽ The state of Georgia declared a state of emergency on Tuesday in response to a new record high in gas prices; Governor Brian Kemp suspended the state tax on motor fuel for 30 days.

🚨 The suspension will be in effect from September 29 to October 29 and eliminates a tax of 33.3 cents per gallon on gasoline and 37.3 cents per gallon on diesel. The executive order also suspends state weight limits for commercial vehicles.

🔥 According to the American Automobile Association, the average price of diesel in Texas reached a record high of $5.97 per gallon, up from $3.16 a year ago. Global prices skyrocketed following the U.S. and Israel’s military strike against Iran.
