The Ustyurt Plateau is shared by three countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan🇹🇲.
Two massive limestone "tusks" jutting into the sky have become the symbol of this region. Millions of years ago, a sea once covered these lands, which is why the slopes of Bozjyra still preserve the imprints of ancient marine creatures. Fossils of prehistoric sharks and mollusks have been discovered in these areas.
Fun Fact: The Ustyurt Plateau is one of the largest plateaus in the world, covering an area of about 200,000 square kilometers!
