Techno Vikings Records

Techno Vikings Records is a ritual techno and electronic hard folk label, exploring music as a form of mystical action. We work with ancient and ethnic sound sources not as stylistic decoration, but as carriers of archaic ritual knowledge, reinterpreted through contemporary electronic music.

For us, Vikings are not a historical reenactment and not a geographical reference to the North. They represent a unifying contour in permanent movement and raid — a symbol of force, journey, and transformation. Moving through new territories and cultures, this contour absorbs mystical heritage from different lands, weaving new sounds and ritual forms into a harsh Scandinavian pattern.

At the core of our sound lie northern chants and folk motifs, layered with African percussive rhythms, Indian vocal traditions, ancient wind instruments, and archaic timbres. The Sufi ney, Persian zurna, Caucasian duduk, Slavic and Balkan motifs, bagpipes of the British Isles, and other archaic forms may all become part of a single ritual action.

These elements are bound together by rigid electronic rhythms, forming a space where sound becomes action and rhythm becomes a tool of immersion. In this context, hard techno ceases to be a genre and becomes a ritual framework holding a multi-layered sonic structure.

Techno Vikings Records is not limited to a single style. We are open to all forms of electronic hard folk — from ritual and industrial techno to hybrid, experimental, and liminal electronic states.

What matters to us is not territory or genre, but state.
Music here is a path. Rhythm is movement. Sound is a collective mystical act.
