Some Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6-powered devices are reportedly facing crashes, black screens and random reboots, especially under heavy loads. Similar reports have surfaced for the Honor Magic 9 Pro Max, Xiaomi 18 Pro series and iQOO 16, although the issue does not affect every user.

Some reports point to a possible TSMC 2nm process issue, with similar problems allegedly seen on the iPhone 18 Pro series. The exact cause is still unknown, and it’s unclear whether an OTA update can fix it. Until the issue is confirmed and resolved, buyers may want to wait before purchasing 2nm-powered devices.
