Google's medical AI chatbot undergoes testing in hospitals

Google's Med-PaLM 2, an AI-powered chatbot designed to provide medical information, is currently being tested in hospitals, including the Mayo Clinic.

Med-PaLM 2 aims to offer valuable assistance, especially in regions with limited access to doctors. It has been trained on a curated dataset of medical expert demonstrations, enabling it to engage in healthcare conversations more effectively than general chatbots like Bard, Bing, and ChatGPT.

Physicians involved in the study reported some inaccuracies and irrelevant information in the responses provided by Med-PaLM and Med-PaLM 2 compared to those from human doctors.👨🏻‍⚕️

Bringing Age Verification to Facebook Dating

Meta on Monday announced that it has introduced a new method for users to verify their age on its Facebook Dating service. Facebook is experimenting with methods, such as using an AI face scanner, to allow users of the platform's dating service to verify their age.

Users can then verify their age by sharing a selfie video that Facebook shares with a third-party business or by uploading a copy of their ID. According to Meta, the company, Yoti, uses facial cues to determine a user's age without identifying them.

Facebook plan to bring our age detection technology and verification tools to other countries globally where Facebook Dating is available, and to more experiences that require people to be over 18 to access them.

Twitter Tests Immersive Media Viewer With Vertical Scrolling for Video

Twitter has announced that it will begin rolling out a redesigned video viewing experience on its platform that will allow users to watch video appearing on their feeds or tweets in a full-screen view.

✳️ Twitter has chosen to adopt only the UI elements of the video-pushing strategy seen on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
