… Now let’s bring this little rant back to the OSAS discussion…

If I lived a perfect sinless life from birth to death, and yet still could not receive eternal life, then what would be the one thing I would be missing?

It’s obviously faith in Jesus alone for eternal life, because Scripture still presents eternal life as being found in Jesus alone, and never in our own righteousness. Without faith, none of those great works of leading a perfect sinless life even matter. It therefore follows that trusting in Jesus Christ alone is the deciding factor in whether someone receives eternal life, and that it's certainly not by the impossible achievement of living a perfectly sinless life.

And if our salvation rests in something we could never attain of ourselves (because no one except for Jesus was chosen by God The Father to be the Messiah), then the discussion has actually shifted from;

β€œCan I lose my salvation?”,

to

β€œCan Jesus stop being the Messiah?”

And because the answer is "No", our assurance rests in something that can never change: Jesus Christ Himself. The eternal security of the believer is therefore only as fragile as the identity of Jesus Christ, and praise God for that because He never changes.

WHAT IF I LIVED A PERFECT AND SINLESS LIFE?

This channel has always preached OSAS, and we affirm that no one can earn salvation by their own righteousness, because we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But after hearing so many common objections such as: β€œWell, you can’t just go and sin however you want!” or β€œWhat if you murder someone?”

… I asked myself the question;

Well, let’s say what if I had never sinned? What if, hypothetically, I lived a completely perfect life from birth until death?

Would I then be able to enter eternal life of myself?

The answer is still 'No'. And why is that? It’s because salvation, attaining that eternal life with God, was never about finding just any sinless person, but it’s specifically about the Messiah, the Anointed One, The Lamb whom God has chosen.

β€œBehold, The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!”
JOHN 1:29

Notice how it doesn't say, "Behold, a sinless man"? Jesus is not just the only one who lived a perfect sinless life, He is also the One whom God promised from the beginning. He is the promised branch, The Son and Lamb of God, our mediator and The Messiah. His sinlessness was necessary indeed, but it was never His only qualification. He alone fulfilled everything the Father had ordained concerning the Anointed One of God. And this is exactly why I think this perspective is particularly helpful when discussing the eternal security of the believer.

The fact that Jesus is The Chosen One to bear all the sins of the world is basic theology, but when we take this into account against common objections and arguments we hear in the OSAS discussion, it shows even more how "OSAS" is the one true gospel. Let me explain…

When someone asks;

β€œWhat if you stop believing?”
β€œWhat if you commit adultery?”
β€œWhat if you murder someone?”
β€œCan you just sin however you want?”

I believe there is an even more important question that should be asked first, which is:

What is it that actually qualifies someone to save someone? (…even himself)

The biblically correct answer is not β€œa sufficiently righteous person”, but it’s obviously the Messiah alone, Jesus our Saviour. And once that becomes the foundation, all these objections lose their force (not that they had any to begin with though…)

From Scripture alone we can read that it is Jesus alone, who existed with God and is God since the beginning, who was chosen by the Father to be The Lamb of God before the foundation of the world.

And so, If I could never save myself, even in the impossible scenario where I lived a perfectly sinless life, then how could I ever believe that keeping myself saved ultimately depends on me? The very thing that saves me is something I could never become.

It’s not like if I would have lived a perfect sinless life, then suddenly my blood would have become 'righteous enough' that it could save me. It’s impossible! Even if someone appointed me today to die for every human being who has ever lived, it would accomplish nothing, because I was never chosen by the Father to be the Lamb of God.

I can never become the Messiah. I can literally never become the Lamb of God, and I can in no way ever become the One appointed to bear the sins of the world, even if I lived a perfectly sinless life. Those qualifications belong to Jesus alone, and they can never be transferred to me or taken away from Him.

And what that means is that the foundation of our salvation is not our (continued) performance, but it’s all about Jesus’ identity.

I know I don’t remain saved because I somehow continue qualifying myself, but I remain saved because He is forever qualified. It's not my continued faithfulness that keeps me saved, but it's His continued sufficiency. And that sufficiency was enough to save me the moment I believed, yesterday, today and forever.

With that established, we can conclude that our salvation rests upon the one thing that we cannot change, and that thing is... who Jesus Himself is!

β€œRECALCULATING ROUTE”...

I was driving around using Google Maps to get me somewhere, and I ended up missing my turn on accident. But this sparked a memory of a sermon I heard a long time ago about our walk with Jesus and how at times, it can be kind of similar to the very GPS app I was using right then...

When you're driving somewhere and you miss the turn, the GPS doesn't suddenly say, "That's it. You're done. You've lost your destination".

But instead, it simply says, "Recalculating route..."

You may have added time to your trip, or maybe you'll now have to deal with traffic that could have been avoided, and perhaps you may have to make a few extra turns because you had to reroute... But the destination never changed!

And I believe our walk with Jesus is much like that. As believers, we all have our seasons of ups and downs, and when we choose to walk in disobedience, God doesn't cast us out of His family, but He corrects us, guiding us back to where we should go, and if needed, God disciplines His children because He loves them.

Sometimes that discipline is painful, or it might mean that you'll have to learn some things the hard way, and often times, we also tend to make our own lives far more difficult than they need to be.

But understanding that this correction does not mean condemnation, or that you're not "good enough" for God, or that you might "lose your salvation", is key in these moments. In reality, it’s actually far from it... this is the loving wisdom and instruction of the Father bringing His child back onto the right path.

But it’s the Adversary who is basically like that one friend who tells you, "Ignore your GPS, I know a shortcut"... And on top of that, he then wants you to believe that one wrong turn means you're finished.

But our Father says, "Come back this way..."

All actions have consequences, and it could be true that your road may have become longer because of your choices, mistakes and disobedience, but not to worry, because if you've taken a wrong turn or two, don't sit there convinced you're too far gone now…

Get right with God again, turn back, enter into prayer, talk about it with Him, start following the directions on your "spiritual GPS" and let Him continue leading you where He intended you to go all along. And you will find that even though you may have taken the scenic route, His grace is greater than your detours.

"My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loves, he rebukes, and scourges every son whom he receives.”

The other day I asked Youtube's Gemini feature to critique Part 2 of the Little Season Time Indicator series, and its conclusion was fascinating to me. Take a look:

It said that if you prioritize the plain reading of the Bible's time indicators, verses such as "this generation" (Matthew 24) and "I come quickly" (Revelation), then the logic of the position I presented in the video is internally consistent.

It is only when you begin prioritizing and relying on traditional history, mainstream academia, archaeology, and hundreds of years of so-called "ecclesiastical" interpretations, over the plain reading of the words of Jesus and the Apostles; only then does the conclusion change.

So, think about what that means... The debate is now truly no longer just about what Scripture says, but it is all about what authority you will allow to override Scripture.

If Jesus repeatedly said He would return soon, and if He said it would happen before that generation passed away, and if the apostles expected it in their lifetime...

...then the plain reading naturally leads in only one direction.

And to reject that honest and plain reading, something outside the text (such as church tradition, modern academia, or our given historical narrative and timeline) must first be introduced to reinterpret those statements.

Nevertheless, even AI analyzing all the arguments presented on both sides, recognized the same dividing line between those who wholly believe that which Jesus said is true regarding the timing of His Second Coming and those who hold an outside source to override that which Scripture says...

... But read the Bible on its own terms, taken at face value, the plain reading of that which is said in it, being deemed as the complete and only truth, no matter what any outside source says... and then, the logic of the text remains internally consistent …

…
And that is how we know, Jesus truly kept His word!

ACKNOWLEDGE THE LORD IN ALL YOUR WAYS

As I have been returning to the Proverbs in my own personal Bible reading, I read a passage which made me think about how overlooked the command in Proverbs is in the lives of many believers, as it had been in mine as well. This is the Proverb:

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
PROVERBS 3:5-6

I want to focus your attention to the part that says to acknowledge the Lord in all your ways; now, notice how it doesn't say acknowledge Him in some of your ways.
It says acknowledge Him in all your ways.

So, when you're walking in obedience, acknowledge Him. And when you're struggling, acknowledge Him.
And when you've fallen short, acknowledge Him. And even when you're backsliding, you must acknowledge Him.

One of the enemy's greatest lies is convincing us to hide from God until we've cleaned ourselves up enough, but true wisdom as it is written in the Proverbs, does the exact opposite. Wisdom continually brings God into our thoughts, our decisions, and our victories, but also our failures. Unfortunately, many believers stop acknowledging God during times of failure because they begin to view God as someone who's just waiting to catch them messing up, as if God would point His finger at them in the midst of their temptations and struggles (of which God was already aware when He saved them), just to tell them "Gotcha, you sinned!", but this is not who God truly is...

And the Psalms say the following:
If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?
PSALM 130:3

The implied answer is obviously no one, and if God dealt with us strictly according to our failures, none of us could stand before Him.

"But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared."
PSALM 130:4

And this is a beautiful truth. The fear of the Lord isn't about constantly worrying that God is waiting to punish you. It's about recognizing who He is and approaching Him with reverence, knowing there is forgiveness with Him, and grace and power with Him in you. And if we as believers understand this, then we no longer run from God when we sin, but instead we decide to run toward Him every single time we stray from the path.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge."
PROVERBS 1:7

This beginning of wisdom is certainly not about pretending we have everything together, it begins with recognizing God for who He is and keeping Him before our eyes.
And the more we keep God's wisdom close to us, the harder it becomes to wander far from Him, and that is not because we are trusting in our own strength, but it's simply because His presence remains continually before us, and from there on He will direct your paths.

"My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion."
PROVERBS 3:21

"Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck."
PROVERBS 6:21

And lastly, as Proverbs says:

"With all thy getting get understanding."
PROVERBS 4:7

Seek wisdom, seek understanding, and remember that His law is already written upon your heart, and His Spirit already dwells within you. Therefore, in all your ways, simply acknowledge the Lord... because He truly is right there with you, only a prayer away if you would only get yourself to do so, especially during times of struggle.

THE WORD OF GOD OR THE WRITTEN WORDS OF GOD?

It’s often said that the Bible is β€œthe Word of God”, or that the King James Bible is the "perfect Word of God", but is that really what Scripture means when it speaks of The Word?

John begins his gospel by saying, β€œIn the beginning The Word had been existing and That Word had been existing with God and That Word was himself God.". From this, we can understand that "The Word" is not a scroll or a translation, but instead, it is The Eternal Son, present with the Father before creation, through whom everything came into being.

"Everything was in his hand, and without him not even one thing existed of the things that existed."
JOHN 1:3

"By him was everything created which is in Heaven and in The Earth: everything that is seen and everything that is unseen, ... everything has been created by his hand and in him."
COLOSSIANS 1:16

"And in these last days he has spoken with us by his Son, whom he ordained The Heir of all things, and by him he made the universe."
HEBREWS 1:2

The Scriptures are the inspired writings, the faithful testimony that points to Jesus, but they are not The Eternal WORD Himself. When people speak of a single translation as if it were equal with Jesus, it turns paper and ink into an idol, while creating an opening for β€œKJVO” thinking at the same time.

Therefore, we stand for the discontinuation of calling a bible "The WORD of God". Let a bible remain what God made it to be, which is the trustworthy witness that leads us to The Living WORD, who became flesh. He who died and rose again for our sins.

THE FIRST DAY OF CREATION

β€œBefore the firmament, before the sun, moon and the clouds, before man walked the earth, there was Christ…”

This clip covers Day One of Creation, drawing from ancient texts like the Book of the Bee, revealing how all things were made by Him, and for Him. And it was in the beginning that iniquity was first found, not in man, but in Satan, whose pride sparked the fall long before Eden.

The angels were formed, the heavens were set in motion, and the Son stood at the center of it all.

... No amount of labor from our hands could ever satisfy the perfect holiness of God. Our flesh is too weak, our hearts too unstable, and even our best moments are stained with imperfection somewhere beneath the surface.

The Christian life is not about standing before God in our own strength, but it is all about hiding ourselves inside the righteousness of Jesus.
And the more we walk with God, the less we desires to exalt ourselves, pride slowly begins to die, and we are sanctified daily in our life. I think a part of spiritual maturity is knowing that Jesus isn't here to help your flesh shine brighter, but it is your flesh that's being brought lower so that Jesus may be seen more clearly through you.

β€œHe must increase, but I must decrease.”
JOHN 3:30

That is the picture believers are given. It's less of me, and more of Him. Less confidence in my own righteousness, and more confidence in His finished work. Less striving to justify myself, and more resting in Jesus, who already fulfilled the Law for us. He did it all perfectly, and none of it is because of the labor of his own hands, but only beacuse of the finished work of Christ.

β€œFor He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”
2 CORINTHIANS 5:21

True peace comes when you finally stop trying to be your own savior and give the reigns of your life to Him. And there is a strange freedom in admitting that we cannot carry ourselves, we cannot cleanse ourselves, justify ourselves, and we can in no way fulfill his laws demands. But because Jesus could, we can finally rest, and hide ourselves in Him.

ROCK OF AGES

As my walk continues, the more I understand the following line in a deeper sense: β€œNot the labor of my hands could fulfill Thy law’s demands....”

There is something inside each person that constantly wants to prove themselves before God. We want to feel worthy, clean by our own efforts; we think if we pray enough, perserve enough, work enough, suffer enough, improve enough, that maybe then, we will finally stand righteous before Him.

But the Law was never given so that man could fulfill it, and instead it was given to reveal precisely that he never could.

CHRIST’S IDENTITY CONCEALED II: GENGHIS KHAN

In this lengthy but worthwhile video, writings on the life and reign of Genghis Khan are referenced to the book of Revelation in the bible - specifically, the letter written to the 7 churches in Asia, as well as the 7 seals and the (remnants of the) β€˜lost’ 10 tribes of Israel.

Is there a possibility there's any truth to the thought of β€˜someone’ creating historical figures to cover up and alter different events of the Millennial Reign of Christ? There are just too many coincidences with this specific historical figure, when referencing back to the bible, to simply disregard these theories as complete nonsense. What do you think?

JESUS KEPT HIS WORD

Is awaiting a 'Second Coming of Christ' actually in line with Scripture?

It has practically become spiritual bread and butter, that if you believe in Jesus, that includes you also expect Him to return in a future Second Coming that is yet to happen.

But the Scriptures actually teach that Jesus said His return would be in 70AD and within the lifetimes of those who He was adressing directly, face to face, in many places in the Scriptures:
He said "this generation shall not pass" (Matthew 24:34)
He said "some standing here will not taste death" (Matthew 16:28)
He said "you will see the Son of Man coming" (Matthew 26:64)
He said "I come quickly" (Revelation 22:7)
Not 2,000 years later, but in the lifetime of the generation He was speaking to.

And the apostles, through whom the Scriptures were written by the Spirit of God, wrote the following:
Paul said "we who are alive and remain" (1 Thessalonians 4:15)
James said "the coming of the Lord draweth nigh" (James 5:8)
Peter said "the end of all things is at hand" (1 Peter 4:7)
John said "it is the last time" (1 John 2:18)

The same expectation, the same timeframe... all within the first-century.

TRUE FULFILLMENT OR A SHADOW FULFILLMENT?

Isn't it funny when pastors admit that the Olivet Discourse was fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, yet still insist that this fulfillment was only a β€œshadow” of a greater future event? Their position attempts to preserve both the historical fulfillment of 70AD and a futurist expectation at the same time. However, the text itself does not allow this interpretation.

"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
MATTHEW 24:34

Jesus did not say that some of these things would be fulfilled, or that there was a shadow fulfillment within that generation. No, He said ALL these things would be fulfilled before that generation passed away. And immediately prior to this statement, Jesus speaks about the great tribulation:

"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."
MATTHEW 24:21

If the tribulation of 70AD was simply a shadow fulfillment, then something greater must still come, yet the text explicitly denies that there will ever be another tribulation of that magnitude, with the phrase β€œnor ever shall be” emphasizing that there is no more repetition of it that we are to await.

Furthermore, the coming of the Son of Man is tied directly to the events of that tribulation:

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened… and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven…"
MATTHEW 24:29–30

The word β€œimmediately” does not allow for a gap of thousands of years. If we are to divide the destruction of Jerusalem from the coming of the Son of Man, we can't honestly say that we take the sequence Christ Himself established seriously.

Calling these events a "shadow fulfillment" dismisses the importance of these β€˜Time Statements’ while preserving traditional futurism, yet the Olivet Discourse is given as one prophetic sequence addressed to one generation, which was the generation Christ was speaking to.

So, what does it boil down to? When the plain reading of Scripture states that Christ would return in the generation who He was speaking to, and that some of them standing there would not taste death till they would see Christ return, or even that Caiaphas was told that he would see Christ coming in His kingdom, the people that require more than that to believe the words of Christ, though often times good-intentioned, carry the same mindset of those who were mocking Christ at the cross in Mark 14, saying β€œLet Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe”.

And that is what they want, they want to see and then believe, and because they cannot see it in modern history that Jesus returned in 70AD, they believe not. But Jesus said β€œblessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed”.

And the question that then follows, is; who do your put your faith in when it comes to your understanding of eschatology? In Christ and what He said about the timing of His Second Coming? Or in the narrative that modern history wants you to believe? The choice is yours ...
