For the Wayfaring Soul on His Day of Turning
(THE PILGRIM'S TWENTY-SECOND DAWN.)
\
Upon this turning of thy years, know that thou art not
forsaken but merely a pilgrim upon hidden roads. ⏀
… …
‘Een dolende ziel’ ;thou may seem, yet such souls are oft entrusted with deeper constellations and quieter truths. May unseen lanterns be lit along thy path, and may the hush of the unseen realm whisper counsel when mortal voices fall still.
XXII +/ㅤ ㅤㅤThough shadows have kept thee
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤ company and العواصف have made their
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤ dwelling in thy chest, thou hast not
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤ withered, thou hast been مُحسّن.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ──────────────────────
Each sorrow borne hath carved
wisdom into thy spirit, each solitude
hath tempered thy sight. May thy heart ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ 🫙
remain steadfast and strange, unruledㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ ( .. / .. )
by the shallow hour, and ever drawn
toward the mystic and the meaningful.
\
ㅤ ㅤㅤ So on this day of thy becoming, I bid thee a birthday touched by wonder and guarded by gentle fate. May thy inner flame endure as an undying ember, and may thy journey lead thee not to belonging alone, but to revelation.
ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ Signed in quiet devotion,
ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ Leindert Naar.
