Five years ago today, Johnny Hurley was shot in the back without any warning by Arvada police, after he stopped an active shooter. From that day, he's been referred to as "Hero Hurley" or "The Hero of Olde Town," but Johnny had been a hero long before that. He was a dedicated liberty activist, an independent journalist (part of @WeAreChangeColorado), a chef & musician, a pillar of his community, and part of the White Rose Movement.

You may recognize this "No Masters & No Slaves" design that we use, which he originally made into t-shirts over a decade ago.

Just hours after Johnny stopped this attempted mass shooting, (then president) Joe Biden got on TV to talk about gun control... but had no talking point. Johnny stopped their attempted False Flag, because he was in the right place, and didn't hesitate to run towards danger to protect others. The police officer who killed him made no attempt to identify him, had been hiding with other cops & watching CCTV footage of the event playing out, and received paid leave & finally a paid retirement - no charges of any kind.

Today, there will be a gathering in Arvada's Olde Town Square to remember Johnny and what he stood for: The Beauty & Liberty inherent in us all! If you're in the Denver area please come out - or tell anyone you know who is, and ask them to join.
