🇮🇷🇴🇲⚡️ — Iran’s IRGC Navy says a container ship carrying more than 2,500 containers sank in the southern Strait of Hormuz after striking a naval mine while attempting to navigate an "unauthorized and dangerous" route.

The mine triggered an explosion and a major fire, causing the vessel to sink on Wednesday morning.

The IRGC Navy warned local vessels and fishermen to exercise extreme caution in the area due to shipping containers floating in the water, which pose a hazard to navigation.
