🇺🇸🇸🇦⚡️ — U.S. federal agents have arrested a 35-year-old Saudi national employed as an OpenAI engineer for installing a concealed audio recording device inside an executive conference room at the company's San Francisco offices.

The suspect, Abdulrahman Alfozan, had worked at OpenAI since July 2025. Prosecutors say he installed the device around September 28, hiding it in toilet paper and connecting it to a USB port behind a television. It was discovered by OpenAI employees on September 30.

FBI Director Kash Patel said the device was intended to capture confidential discussions about OpenAI's advanced artificial intelligence technology.
