🇳🇴🇨🇳⚡️ — Norwegian military personnel discovered that Chinese-owned Volvo rental vehicles had been automatically recording and storing video footage during a major military exercise in Oslo from September 14 to 18, according to Norwegian newspaper DN.

The recordings captured soldiers entering and exiting vehicles, their movements, locations and security codes used to access restricted military areas. The recording function had not been requested or disclosed to military personnel.

Despite the discovery, the Norwegian Armed Forces continued using the vehicles throughout Exercise Hovedstad because few alternatives were available.
