We have had a decade of drift and division that has caused more harm than good, in my view.

We are a more fractious country, perhaps, than we were. We have a weaker sense of direction. These are all the things I'm trying to fix as Prime Minister.

I want to draw a line on that decade. I want to give Britain a clear direction going forward. I want to raise levels of positivity and hope around the country, and that comes from being clear about where we're going.
