🇪🇸⚡️ — Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has called an early general election for November 29 after his minority government suffered parliamentary defeats over measures aimed at tackling the country’s housing crisis.

Sánchez said he needs a “broader progressive majority” to advance reforms, while acknowledging unresolved problems with housing, inequality and public services.

His government has also faced pressure over corruption scandals, the cost of living and immigration.

Spain’s next general election had not been due until summer 2027.
