🇬🇧🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️ — British and U.S. officials believe the men arrested near RAF Fairford were connected to an Iran-backed operation linked either to the IRGC or a separate military headquarters in Tehran, NYT reports.

Investigators are trying to identify who recruited the men, whom one official described as “unwitting chumps.”

However, officials acknowledged that significant details of the alleged plot remain unclear.
