🇵🇱⚡️ — Poland’s Defense Ministry is drafting a new state defense-readiness law designed to create a formal “pre-war” phase between normal peacetime operations and the declaration of martial law, according to Rzeczpospolita.
The proposed “state of full readiness” would allow Poland to begin mobilizing military and administrative resources earlier, including deploying Polish and allied forces, preparing critical infrastructure and aligning national defense plans more closely with NATO systems.
The legislation is meant to close gaps in existing regulations that officials believe are poorly suited to modern threats that may escalate without reaching the threshold of conventional war, particularly hybrid operations, cyberattacks and disinformation.
The bill is currently undergoing inter-ministerial consultations, and no date has been announced for its submission to parliament.
