🇬🇧🇺🇸⚡️ — The UK government is looking for British alternatives to Palantir for major NHS and Ministry of Defence contracts as part of Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s “Buy British” strategy, according to FT.
Ministers are considering activating a break clause in Palantir’s £330 million NHS Federated Data Platform contract next March, potentially offering a roughly one-year extension while a domestic replacement is developed.
Officials are considering three or four British technology companies, including Quantexa, and could divide the platform between several suppliers rather than rely on one company.
The government is also exploring alternatives to Palantir for its £240.6 million MoD contract. No final decision has been made, and some officials warn replacing Palantir could be technically risky.
