🇺🇸⚡️ — Raytheon has been awarded a five-year contact with two extra option years valued up to $24.4B to further production of U.S. Navy SM-6 interceptors.

This comes amidst depletion of the munition due to the Iran war, shrinking from a pre-war inventory of 1160 to an inventory of 790-970 in April, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies. More SM-6 interceptors have been used since April, further depleting the munition.
