🇺🇸🇺🇸⚡️ — California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed AB 2017 on September 27, formally recognizing Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha under state law.
The law allows state and school employees to use existing leave to observe the two Muslim holidays and permits K-12 schools and community colleges to close for Eid through local agreements.
