🇺🇸⚡️ — NEW: Boeing has won the U.S. Navy’s F/A-XX competition, beating Northrop Grumman for a contract worth more than $20 billion to develop its sixth-generation carrier-based strike fighter.
The contract includes multiple test aircraft for ground testing, airworthiness trials, systems evaluation and weapons integration.
The F/A-XX is expected to enter service in the 2030s, eventually replacing the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler.
