🇺🇸🇨🇳⚡️ — U.S. Ambassador to China David Perdue told Fox News that Washington’s position on Taiwan remains unchanged, emphasizing that the U.S. neither supports Taiwanese independence nor accepts coercion.

He said Washington wants peace in the Taiwan Strait and a peaceful resolution between Taiwan and China.

Perdue also said that President Trump urged Chinese President Xi Jinping during their White House meeting to stop any assistance to Iran.

He described support to Iran as “totally unacceptable” and said Beijing had assured Washington it was not providing assistance. Perdue noted that the U.S. has already seen "movement" from China on the issue.
