🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️ — U.S. Central Command has revised its targeting procedures and expanded its use of artificial intelligence to verify intelligence following the February 28 strike on a school in Minab, Iran, which killed more than 120 children, according to Bloomberg.

The changes include stricter reviews of planned targets, additional open-source intelligence to track civilian movements, and dozens of upgrades to Palantir’s AI-powered Maven Smart System.

New capabilities allow the system to reassess intelligence, identify anomalies, and better distinguish between military and civilian buildings.

Despite the changes, some defense officials and experts remain concerned that the risk of another deadly targeting error remains high.
