🇹🇷🇺🇸⚡️ — Türkiye Nuclear Energy Inc. and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency have signed a grant agreement on Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and fourth-generation nuclear reactors at Türkevi in New York.

Under the agreement, reactor designs from U.S. companies will be assessed for technical, economic, regulatory, and licensing feasibility in Türkiye.

The grant does not finance reactor construction but creates a pathway for U.S. SMR companies to evaluate potential commercial deployment.

Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said the cooperation supports Türkiye’s goals of net-zero emissions by 2053 and full energy independence.
